The Senior Property Accountant will support the Controller in various day-to-day financial and accounting responsibilities, including balance sheet reconciliations. The senior accountant will also have substantial exposure to monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes, forecasting, and budgeting.

The Senior Accountant will play an integral part on our team, so we are looking for a driven, ambitious individual with an analytical mindset who wants to grow and expand their knowledge in the finance and accounting arena within our company. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing capital draws and pay applications on projects in the development stage.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual property financial statements, including balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare monthly rental invoices/billings.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and intercompany transactions, including bank and tenant accounts.
  • Managing the financial aspects of construction/development projects, ensuring that all costs are tracked, recorded, and allocated accurately
  • The role involves working with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project budgets are adhered to and financial reports are accurate and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Review and process invoices from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring they accurately match contract terms or purchase orders.
  • Real Estate Tax and Property Insurance tracking and payments
  • Annual Tax Return Prep Support
  • Maintains confidentiality of all financial information
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of finance principles and reporting
  • At least 3 years of previous Full-Cycle Accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks software
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and solution-driven
