Description

As an Accounting Analyst, you will be integral in analyzing financial data, refining accounting processes, and upholding the accuracy of financial information within our manufacturing operations. We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates a disciplined approach to work, excels in problem-solving, and is eager to innovate. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about meticulous financial analysis, process development, and tackling complex projects alongside standard duties.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial performance metrics specific to manufacturing, including cost of goods sold, inventory management, and production variances.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration is needed to ensure accurate data collection and resolution of discrepancies, particularly in production and inventory.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports and insights on manufacturing operations for senior leadership, highlighting areas of efficiency, waste, and profitability.
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, managing journal entries, and reconciling accounts such as inventory, fixed assets, and COGS.
  • Innovate by suggesting enhancements to existing systems or processes to streamline operations and improve financial reporting in a manufacturing context.
  • Support external audits with necessary documentation and explanations, focusing on manufacturing-specific compliance and controls.
  • Maintain and update documentation for accounting practices tailored to manufacturing, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of manufacturing accounting practices and technologies changes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, with a preference for manufacturing industry experience.
  • A CPA or MBA is advantageous but not required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for complex data analysis.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems in manufacturing environments like SAP, Oracle, etc.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting or analytical experience preferred.
