Our finance team is looking for a motivated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to contribute to our financial strategy and operations. This position focuses on delivering actionable insights through budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and detailed reporting. We're seeking a motivated, driven candidate with strong Excel skills, some familiarity with Power BI, and a passion for leveraging data to support business growth. Based in Phoenix, AZ, this hybrid role offers a flexible schedule with options for remote work several days per week.
- Contribute to creating and refining budgets, financial forecasts, and performance variance reviews.
- Update interactive dashboards in Power BI and detailed reports in Excel.
- Perform financial modeling and custom analyses to guide strategic planning.
- Collaborate with various departments to collect and evaluate financial and operational metrics.
- Assist in streamlining and automating recurring financial reporting tasks.
- Highlight critical trends and performance drivers for leadership review.
- Provide analytical support during monthly and quarterly financial close processes.
- Conduct comprehensive budget versus actual and variance analysis reporting.
- Construct financial models to facilitate informed and confident decision-making.
- Conduct in-depth financial data analysis and provide forecasting support.
- Experience crafting reports and dashboards in Power BI. Intermediate knowledge of SQL or Power Query is a HUGE PLUS.
- Exposure to ERP platforms like Sage 100 or comparable systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel, including experience manipulating large datasets).
- Self-driven and motivated with an ability to handle complex projects.
- Excellent presentation skills to articulate insights from data.
- Innovative problem-solving skills tailored to finance and accounting challenges.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of finance analysis experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or related field.
