We are looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team in our Chandler, AZ, office. This position is 100% in office. - The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
- Work with 340B (Government Grants)
- Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
- Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Maintains the general ledger.
- Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
- Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Assists with payroll processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
- Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform an annual audit.
- Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Coordinates with the software vendors to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
- Manages the purchasing and invoicing system.
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
- MUST have at least 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Knowledge of the 340B Drug Pricing Program is a HUGE PLUS, but not required.
- Accounting experience in Healthcare and/or Pharmacy sector is preferred.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- MUST know MS Excel with the ability to work in and with spreadsheets.
- Proficiency with similar accounting software (QBO preferred).

- Work from home may be offered one day a week after 90 days.
- Occasional inner office travel to our other Phoenix locations
