Description
We are seeking a driven Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting team in the Phoenix, Arizona, area. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Controller, and will lead the Audit, month-end, and year-end close processes and improve our processes and procedures. To accomplish this, you will partner with cross-functional team members and implement automated solutions as we continue to scale the business.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for working with external auditors for financial and credit compliance audits in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger, month-end, and year-end close procedures, and be responsible for the balance sheet and asset protection.
- Be actively engaged in day-to-day financial operations, including performing financial statement analysis, modeling, and reporting,
- Interpret financial information and provide guidance to the Executive team by analyzing plans, tracking results, and adjusting approaches.
- Responsible for managing Debits/Credits, Cash flow analysis, and projections.
- Ensures internal controls operate effectively by identifying deficiencies and developing a comprehensive understanding of correcting and automating them for our future growth.
- Responsible for daily cash-flow management of all accounts, ensuring proper reconciling of all inbounds, outbound expenses, and revenue.
- Performing other ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- At least 7+ years of accounting experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- ASC 842 experience is highly sought by not required
- At least 3 +plus years of audit experience working hands-on with outside firms.
- 3+ years of building and managing teams in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Direct experience performing detailed and data-intensive reconciliations.
- Strong technical accounting skills with a keen understanding of GAAP regulations and compliance.
- Organized, detailed, proactive, self-motivated, collaborative, multi-tasker, and creative.
- Ability to communicate effectively and lead a team to success.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and ensure tasks are completed timely.
- High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
